The first phase of the Community Energy Plan project began in January 2010 with the creation of a Community Energy and Sustainability Task Force appointed by 2010 County Board Chairman Jay Fisette. This Task Force submitted its report on recommendations and strategies to the Board in May 2011.
Following the Board’s acceptance of that report, the second phase of the project began. The County Manager appointed a group of local energy and business leaders to an Advisory Group in May 2011. Advisory Group members will offer input to County Staff for the creation of the Community Energy Implementation Work Plan and new Comprehensive Plan element.
All meetings of the Advisory Group are open to the public. Each meeting takes place in the Central Library auditorium from 7:30am to 10:30am. Meeting agendas and materials will be posted below.
