Arlington Arts Center
The Center includes artist studios and exhibit space, and it hosts public and private events. The facility is open long hours and some exhibits require specialty lighting or equipment. AIRE continues to make improvements in this building to cut energy use without compromising artist comfort or exhibit preservation. From 2007 to 2011, this building saw a 28 percent reduction in energy use intensity. In spring 2012, the building automation system (BAS) was replaced. During this upgrade, energy use increased temporarily, but energy use is now back to expected levels.
See the data and information below for more on the energy use and savings associated with this building.
