Long Branch Nature Center includes live animal exhibits and a classroom in addition to its outdoor gardens and trails. A lighting retrofit completed in mid-2009 cut energy use here by 10%. In early 2012, AIRE replaced the heat pumps, along with some other weatherization improvements. Long Branch used nearly 30% less energy in 2012 than in 2011.
