Building Efficiency Improvements

• Arlington County continues to audit, retrofit and recommission many facilities, including lighting retrofits, weatherization work, HVAC replacements, and enhanced building controls.
• Paid for in part through the U.S. Department of Energy, Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant funded by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act through Arlington County, VA. the entire HVAC system at the Water, Sewer, Streets Administration building was completely replaced and recommissioned in 2011 to reduce energy use and provide a more comfortable work environment for its occupants.
• The County is continuing these improvements in 2012 to help meet the goal.
