Water Utilities

The County has completed a substantial expansion and upgrade to the water treatment facility. This facility uses about one-quarter (1/4) of all the energy consumed by County government operations.
Energy use at the wastewater treatment plant in 2011 was down six percent (6%) from 2010.
New, high-efficiency pump motors were installed at a major pump station in mid-2011, which cut electricity use there by thirty percent (30%).
